- ➤ The Longview Lobo Band will honor veterans, active duty military and first responders at the annual Honor America event at Lobo Stadium on Saturday, November 8—gates open at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m. The event features local band performances and a fireworks show while veterans and active duty receive free entry and tickets sold online cost $5.50. - ➤ LeTourneau University is building a new 120,000-square-foot athletic dome—one of the first air-supported indoor facilities in Texas—that will host regional and national track meets on a 200-meter hydraulic track with seating for up to 2,000. Officials said the dome will also include classrooms, offices, and extra sports amenities, and construction is set to finish in June 2026. Longview News-Journal
