- ➤ Smith County Emergency Services District 2 deployed TIFMAS Strike Team 169 on Thursday morning to help Smithville prepare for wildfires — firefighters from Tyler, Longview, Texarkana and Nacogdoches joined the team. KETK
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Kilgore College will play Community Christian at 3 p.m. on Saturday at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium as both teams open their seasons and coach Willie Gooden said the team is focused on a strong start after a 63-0 win last season—key players like TE Jordan Brown, OL Jacoby Burns, and QB Jahrik Jones are set to make an impact.
