- ➤ Commissioners are proposing to raise Gregg County’s property tax rate to 30.4331 cents per $100 valuation for the 2025-26 fiscal year to fund planned capital projects (including road work, airport upgrades, and courthouse improvements) and a public hearing on the proposal will be held on Aug 26. County officials also approved a 4% pay raise for elected officials and employees (a move aimed at easing staffing shortages). Longview News-Journal
