- ➤ Mint Innovation, a New Zealand firm, is set to begin work soon on its biorefining facility at 2101 E. Loop 281 in Longview that will recover precious metals from e-waste. Company representative Renee Jameson said procurement and construction activities will start in the coming month—local hiring plans are expected to be clear by fourth quarter. Longview News-Journal
- ➤ Trinity Tank Car will close the Jordan Valley Road plant on Sept. 30 as part of a restructuring plan that will lay off 156 workers. The company will invest in its Shady Brook Lane site between Longview and Hallsville—shifting some equipment there to produce specialty tank cars. Longview News-Journal

- ➤ Tyler Legacy teammates Nolan Hable and Simeon Garner earned honorable mention honors on Saturday when TSWA released its Class 6A All-State Baseball Team — the team was chosen based on nominations from coaches and media.
