- ➤ Upshur County commissioners approved a pay raise of $1,800 for elected officials and planned similar employee increases with a $12,000 supplement for the district attorney during a meeting on Tuesday—officials said the move was needed to keep salaries competitive ahead of the next fiscal year while the 2025-26 budget is set for adoption in August.
