- ➤ Graciously Broken Ministries unveiled its new Shelter Care Stabilization Center on July 13 in a former church on FM 968 to help women overcome addictions and other challenges — including those who are pregnant or have children. The center offers a 35-40 day stay with six rooms and an outdoor playground where women receive support until they move on. Longview News-Journal

- ➤ Steve Barnhart—owner of the long-standing Putt-Putt Golf and Games—is selling the family-run business for $500,000 with a requirement that the buyer keeps it open and restores its charm. - ➤ Brookshire Grocery Co. began hiring over 250 people on July 14 for its new Fresh by Brookshire's store in Longview—applicants must visit the Workforce Solutions East Texas building at 1905 W. Loop 281, Suite 40—and the more than 66,000-square-foot store is under construction and will open later this year. A longtime mall family opened Toy Rush at Longview Mall, a toy store with interactive play areas and toys for children up to 15, managed by Jaisha Bashir. Longview News-Journal
