- ➤ At Pursuit Church in Kilgore, the Free Clothes Closet has given away 1,293 clothing items since August 2024 to meet local needs. Church members will host a large giveaway on June 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.—with future giveaways planned regularly. Kilgore News Herald
- ➤ Kilgore High School and Patterson Kilgore, in partnership with Carter BloodCare, will hold blood drives in July to help neighbors in need. The event at Kilgore High runs from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on July 8th while the drive at Patterson Kilgore runs from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.—each donor receives a weekend tote bag with O negative donors getting an additional $50 e-gift card. - ➤ Peltier Ford donated $7,500 to the East Texas Food Bank’s Longview Resource Center after pledging $5 per ticket at May’s Peltier Fest—an event that united the community in support of hunger relief. The funds will help the center provide nutritious meals and essential services to families in Gregg County. Longview News-Journal
