  • The Caldwell Zoo board named Scott Maddox as its new president and CEO—he worked in various roles for over three decades and served as chief operating officer for the past five years. Kevin Eltife, former mayor and board chairman, said Maddox was the obvious choice to guide the zoo's future for families in Tyler.  KETK

CRIME NEWS

  • Longview Police arrested 57-year-old Glen Blaylock on June 16th after a timely activated alarm at a business on Judson Road indicated forced entry—officers located and detained him shortly after he fled on foot.  City of Longview

  • The Pair of Pirates will lead a music and dance party on June 25 at Pine Tree Elementary School Auditorium at 1803 Pine Tree Rd from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to teach children pirate songs and dances as part of the Summer Reading Club Performer Day series.  City of Longview
