- ➤ Longview police arrested 27 year old Dominique Johnson on Sunday after a Saturday night shooting on the 200 block of Melba Street that left Isaiah Ross dead—officers in Kilgore worked together to bring him into custody and he is now held in Gregg County Jail. Longview News-Journal

- ➤ East Texas Comic Con will be held June 28-29 at Longview Exhibit Building, where fans can explore comics & anime, sci-fi, video gaming and card gaming. The multi-day event will offer a range of pop culture experiences for attendees. City of Longview

Dan Patrick spoke in Tyler today and said more than 8,000 smoke shops near schools are luring youth, so Senate Bill 3 would ban THC if signed by Abbott in September—business owners warn the ban could harm those using THC for pain and mental health. Patrick also defended bills that will add prayer time and the Ten Commandments in classrooms while continuing his tour to El Paso and Abilene. KETK
