On May 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., community members will join a free song listening party where each attendee brings a song that reflects how they feel about the world—therapists will be on hand to offer support.

Hosted by Jasmine Stoker of Here’s A Starting Point and Baylee Martin of GRIT Counseling, the event is for ages 18+.

Today, early voting for May elections in East Texas shows low participation—Gregg County City of Longview District 5 recorded 561 votes at 6.4% turnout while other areas, including Kilgore and Nacogdoches, reported rates between 1% and 7.5%.
