- ➤ Longview United Way raised over $1 million in its previous campaign during Tuesday's celebration at the East Texas Builders Association (supporting programs for the Red Cross and Martin House Children's Advocacy Center). A new campaign was launched at the event and will run until March 2026, ensuring local support continues. KETK
- ➤ Keep Longview Beautiful and City of Longview will launch the second annual Less Littered Longview campaign in May that will use daily videos on Facebook and Instagram to show how every like leads a volunteer to pick up a piece of trash. The campaign builds on last year’s success (which lowered the city’s litter index by nearly 0.9 points with help from over 90 volunteers and 25 local groups). City of Longview

- ➤ The Kilgore College Department of Music will hold its Spring Masterworks Concert on Tuesday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the Van Cliburn Auditorium, featuring the world premiere of 'Liberty,' a new music work that honors the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II with performances by KC Chorale, KC Connection, KC Wind Symphony and the East Texas Men in Harmony Barbershop Chorus.
