- ➤ The Deep East Texas A&M Club will host its annual Muster on April 21 in Longview at The Event Center on Alpine (2023 Alpine Road) to honor Aggies lost in the past year. The event will include a roll call, local student scholarship awards and a meal with guest speaker Brad H. Tidwell. Longview News-Journal
- ➤ Longview father Daniel Boulware turned his life around after a drug relapse and losing part of custody by joining Buckner Longview’s Fatherhood EFFECT program. He will begin pursuing a certificate in substance abuse counseling at Kilgore College in August and aims to regain shared custody of his daughter. Longview News-Journal
- ➤ The library will host Puzzle Swap Day on April 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.—community members should bring complete, gently used jigsaw puzzles to exchange or donate. Registration is not required but bring a puzzle if you plan to take one home. City of Longview

HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Texas public health officials reported 20 new measles cases Tuesday, raising the state's total to 561 over the past two and a half months and resulting in 58 hospitalizations and 2 deaths among unvaccinated children. The outbreak began in January in Gaines County and has now spread to 23 counties and nearby states, with 4% (less than 25 cases) currently infectious. Longview News-Journal
