- ➤ Longview Arboretum and Nature Center is hosting its 10th Music in the Gardens concert series today with a 6-8 p.m. performance by local favorite Dagnabbit—tickets cost $10, $7 for children ages 7-12 and free for kids under 7. Further concerts are scheduled on April 10, April 17 and April 24 to help fund the arboretum’s upkeep. Longview News-Journal
- ➤ On Tuesday, children and families visited the Jack Mann Splash Pad at Lear Park and three other splash pads that opened for the season; the Jack Mann facility is closed on Wednesdays and the Armstrong Splash Pad at Broughton Park remains closed for renovations. Longview News-Journal

- ➤ The Gladewater Police Department investigated reports of gunshots and property damage from Tuesday night along the 200 block of W. Gay Avenue—residents noted shell casings on the walkway and bullet holes in a fence while no injuries were reported, and officials linked the incident to an earlier disturbance with a vehicle. KETK
