- ➤ A house fire in Bullard began on Monday evening at around 7:15 p.m. near a charging golf cart—officials said the home is a total loss, two residents escaped without injury, and two golf carts along with a vehicle in the garage were damaged. KETK

- ➤ Former Gregg County jailer Shalisha Denai Mungia was arrested for credit card abuse after she used inmate Liquieta Lawanza Deesjuan Kelly's Chime card to buy a breast pump for $231.88 on Amazon on Oct. 23, 2024 and was fired on Friday (she was released on a $1,500 bond). Longview News-Journal

- ➤ The city of Longview is starting its own lifeguard certification program this year to train local lifeguards and ease a long-standing shortage.
