  • The East Texas Food Bank said it missed several truckloads of food—360,000 pounds valued at $750,000—as cuts froze and terminated two USDA programs meant to support its food supply. The loss has already affected its ability to serve families and may limit its capacity to deliver over 33 million meals this year.  Longview News-Journal
  • Gamers gathered Saturday for the inaugural East Texas Gamer Con at Maude Cobb Convention and Activity Center in Longview — the two-day event featured esports tournaments, tabletop gaming and vendors to raise funds for Greater Longview United Way in partnership with LANFest.  Longview News-Journal
