- ➤ Longview City Council voted (4-3) on Thursday to use an extra $3 million from its reserves for a new pool at Stamper Park as the revised design now puts the cost at about $6 million after closing the old pool at Pine Tree High School. Longview News-Journal

- ➤ On Thursday, Christus Good Shepherd Health System held a ceremony at its Longview hospital to mark 90 years of service in East Texas, with community members and hospital leaders honoring the legacy of care.
