Longview officials revived the Connect Longview program to help elderly and low-income homeowners fix property issues and met on March 7 with church and civic group leaders to recruit volunteers for repairs on 17 properties.
The program will waive fees for tasks that need registered contractors — aiming to help homeowners avoid code violations and live safely.
