- ➤ Before Christmas, Chris Woolsey restored a fading marker outside First Christian Church and has since refreshed over 150 markers statewide to keep local history alive. He plans to share more history to help residents connect with their community. Longview News-Journal
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ LeTourneau women's basketball rallied for a 57-53 win against the Manchester Spartans on Tuesday afternoon in Solheim Arena (overcoming a 17-point halftime deficit). Mariana Espinosa led with 13 points as the YellowJackets closed out 2025 and will play in SCAC action Friday. Longview News-Journal
- ➤ The West Rusk Raiders finished the Tenaha Holiday Hoops Tournament with wins over Union Hill and Brookeland, closing with a 2-2 record. The team will begin District 16-3A play Friday at home in Gladewater with the JV tip-off at (1 p.m.). Kilgore News Herald
- ➤ Frankston senior A.J. Donnell was named All-District MVP as his team earned 27 awards and an 11-1 record + clinched an undefeated district championship under Coach Paul Gould. Longview News-Journal
